He proposes to Quintus that he is made allied king of Britannia, and that the kingdom will meet whatever tributary requirements Quintus sets, and in return they will remain free to live their lives in their traditional way. Quintus counters that the Druids (whom the Romans almost completely eradicated in Gaul) must be confined to Hibernia (Ireland), and that Eppitacos and the Britons must supply Rome with two cohorts’ worth of men to fight the Germans on the mainland. Eppitacos agrees and all is set for peace to settle in Britannia.
